Film Noir Project

We had to shoot a project representing the 1940's "film noir" error. It allowed for great experimenting with lighting. I shot these in the middle of the day in a room full of windows. Sarah, Joann, Wesley, and my dad did a great job modeling. Thanks to all of you!

Sneak Peek at Bridals

Did some bridals today. It was freezing but my bride did great. We tried to keep her warm when we could. She even stood so few night shots. Thanks Chanel. Here is a sneak peek until I am through editing. I love my new Canon 5D Mark II.

I got my new camera last week. Haven't really got to shoot much with it b/c of school. Hope to get to use it when I get home for the next two weeks. Let me finish packing.

Snow in South Louisiana

Well it snowed at home and I missed it. From the photos mom took I can see it was beautiful. I was sad as I read all the post from my friends on Facebook and My Space, but I'm glad they all had fun. Well, maybe next time. I had snow at school last year! Maybe it will happen again. Here is one photo mom took of our house during the "blizzard."

Yesterday I got to shoot what I love most, fashion. I had a blast. The first photo of Ashley on the digital background, is my favorite. Using digital backgrounds is something new for me. The background for this one was taken by my teacher Jay. The others photos are on white background due to if my client wanted to remove them and put them on a digital background it makes it easier. I thought that was pretty neat. My models were great and I sent them all a big Thank You. (To enlarge the photos just click on them.)

New Project

Today we got a new assignment in Photography class. I am really excited about it. We are doing a fashion shoot for a catalog lay out. Finally I'm getting to shoot fashion for a grade. My professors are always saying my photos are "too fashion forward." Now I get to be "fashion forward." I had to do an ad for a healthy cereal last week. Everyone liked it, but they were all surprised I did a still life instead of using people. I decided to try something different. I'll post my fashion shots when I get them done. God bless

Christmas"cards" With the Keller's

Today I shot one of my best friends from .... well to be honest I have known her since the 4th grade. I have also known her husband since high school so we all go way back. We had a good time. It was a little darker outside than I would like, but I worked it out. Didn't really get to shoot all that I wanted because it got dark within minutes of starting. I was able to get a few decent shots though. Let me know what ya think.

Shot bridals today

Shot bridals today but will have to wait until May to see them. It was pretty cold but my bride did really good. We shot them at White Oak Plantation. I have never shot there before today. It was a nice place. The wedding is in May and the flowers will be blooming. I'm sure that it will be so pretty at that time of year. Catch you all later.
Oh, I forgot. We were leaving the plantation and 5 baby deer came running in the street and through the woods. We almost hit them with out car. I was so glad we didn't. They were just beautiful. Reminded me of Bambi.

The project is coming together nicely. I have one more shot left before I finish my series. I have to say my favorite photo out of all of them would have to be Pride. I took three different images and put them together all in one photo. It looks really cool! Can't wait to show you guys.

Final Project of this Quarter.... 7 deadly sins

So my professor gave us free reign over our final project. I have to say I was really excited about this. I was kind of scared at first because, I thought, "What in the world am I going to do my project on." So then I remembered there was a shoot I have always wanted to do on the SEVEN DEADLY SINS. I’m really excited about this one ya'll. I have most of my models lined up. I started shooting them this week. I would post up some sneak peaks but I want it to be a surprise, so you're going to have to wait. But as soon as they’re done I'll post them.

Been in bed for a week. Hurt my back on a photo shoot at school. Got hit by a 4 wheeler then slid down an embankment. I am so bored. You can only watch so much TV. I have pictures to edit and haven't been able to sit long enough to do them. Will be trying to drive back to school on Monday.

Saturday Afternoon For Fun Photo Shoot

One of my best friends from high school spent the day modeling for these images. It was fun but hot. 89 degrees and I put her in a sweater and jacket. She was a trooper. Thanks Sarah!!!! I have blogged a few of my favorites. I like the ones on the bails of hay. I live in the city and have never really had a chance to shot on them. There were traffic lights and power lines everywhere, but I think I made it look like we were on a farm.
